Brookview House

BrookviewHouse

Karaka, Auckland
A closely formed collaboration between BDG Architects and Green Homes New Zealand sees a refreshing response to designing architectural, energy efficient homes that exceed customer expectations.

Situated in Karaka, Auckland – Brookview Development is a new vibrant suburban development that caterers for a range in lifestyle living. This project is a collaborative between BDG Architects and Green Homes New Zealand with the aim to achieve a high quality Homestar accredited dwelling that exceeds both performance levels and stands out architecturally.

The dwelling is a double storey house inspired by contemporary architecture that delivers innovative and diverse spaces to meet the needs of the clients brief. This design has been carefully thought out to create correctly zoned areas and provide living spaces to capture natural benefits of solar passive design all year round. The ground level provides expansive lifestyle options, incorporating large living, dining and kitchen areas. The main living hub of the home harnesses the natural northern light and connects the indoors to the outdoors by offering an intimate pergola and internal courtyard. The upper level offers privacy with two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a media room and storage.  The use of fruit trees and vegetable gardens help reinforce sustainability on the site with food production for the family to enjoy.  This proposed dwelling is a design that is perfect for a family that is looking for sophistication and energy efficiency.
